Dear Students;
At OSTİM Technical University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, we offer more than just programs in International Trade and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, and Management Information Systems. Our mission is to "train experienced graduates," and this vision shapes every aspect of our educational approach. As one of the newest universities in Turkey, OSTİM Technical University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences defines its educational philosophy through this commitment.
Within our faculty, we offer undergraduate programs in International Trade and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, and Management Information Systems. Our goal is not only to equip each student interested in these fields with essential knowledge, skills, and competencies, but also to ensure that, as graduates of a Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, they embody a modern understanding of management—grounded in both theory and practice. We aim to educate business professionals who are well-versed in contemporary managerial approaches, economists who can follow economic developments and comprehend both micro and macroeconomic dynamics, and finance specialists who possess a strong command of capital markets.
Our faculty also places great importance on the university’s distinctive core curriculum. In this context, courses such as Introduction to University Life and Building the Future are designed to ensure a smooth, engaging, and enriching transition into university life. Additionally, the Entrepreneurship Project course offers students the opportunity to collaborate with peers from other departments, engage in interdisciplinary teamwork, and transform into true “makers.” These courses aim to provide students with unique and valuable experiences beyond the conventional classroom setting.
As is the case in other faculties and departments of our university, students in our faculty will be introduced to real-world professional experience starting from their first year through placements at partner institutions. This hands-on engagement is further enriched by mandatory summer internships in the following years and by spending the entire final semester of the senior year in the workplace. This structure provides our students with a level of professional exposure and practical insight that is rarely offered at other universities, equipping them with a significant competitive advantage before graduation.
Our aim is to educate graduates who integrate theory with practice—individuals who not only possess strong academic foundations but have also confronted the realities of the professional world and contributed to its dynamics through active participation and production.
