Horizontal Transfer

Applications for horizontal transfer for the Spring semester of the 2024–2025 academic year will be accepted between January 13-24, 2025. 

Candidates whose applications are accepted are required to complete their in-person final registration between February 5-7,2025.

APPLICATION

  1. Applications will be submitted online via https://obs.ostimteknik.edu.tr/oibs/hoa_app/ between January 13–24, 2025. ChatGPT’ye sor
  2. Applications submitted in person or by cargo will not be accepted.
  3. The required documents must be uploaded to the application system by the applicant in JPEG or PDF format.
  4. The information in the documents must be complete and clearly legible.
  5. Documents will not be accepted outside the application system. Once the application is completed and the application period has ended, no additional documents can be uploaded or updated in the system.
  6. All required information must be entered accurately and completely during the application process.
  7. Once an applicant finalizes their application, they will no longer be able to access the application system.
  8. Any issues that may arise during the evaluation process will be communicated to the email address you provided during the application, so it is recommended to check your inbox regularly.

OTHER ISSUES

  1. Applications will be submitted online between January 13 and 24, 2025.
  2. Applications submitted via email, mail, cargo, or similar methods will not be processed.
  3. Applications with incomplete or fraudulent documents will not be considered.
  4. The provisions of Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, the Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions (Legislation Information System), the implementation principles of the Higher Education Council's “Additional Article 1” (YÖK Fall and Spring Semester Additional Article 1 Implementation Principles (yok.gov.tr)), and the decisions of YÖK shall apply. HORIZONTAL TRANSFER DISCOUNT CONDITIONS

(Horizontal transfer discount: According to the Regulation on Transfer Between Associate and Undergraduate Programs, Double Major, Minor, and Inter-Institutional Credit Transfer in Higher Education Institutions, students transferring to our university's programs via central placement score (YKS/DGS) or cumulative GPA (including internal transfers) will have their central placement score from the year they registered at the higher education institution considered for the diploma program they wish to transfer into;)

a) 100% scholarship is granted if the student's score is equal to or higher than the maximum score of the 100% scholarship quota.

b) 75% discount is granted to those whose scores fall between the maximum and minimum scores of the 100% scholarship quota.

c) 50% discount is granted if the student's score is equal to or higher than the minimum score of the 50% discount quota.

ç) 25% discount is granted if the student's score is equal to or higher than the minimum score of the 25% discount quota.

d) Students whose YKS/DGS scores do not meet the scholarship or discount category requirements for the program they wish to transfer into in the same year are subject to the tuition fee of the paid program.

e) If the program does not have a paid quota according to the YKS guide, the tuition fee of the discounted quota will be applied.

f) These students are subject to the tuition fee of the academic year in which they transfer.
